Chapter 20- Diseases

In the beginning of chapter 20 Holden is in a bar and pretends that there is a bullet in his guts, later on he is freezing cold in Central Park and thinks that he is going to catch Pneumonia. Holden acts like there is a bullet in his guts because he does that kind of stupid buisness when he is drunk. In Holden's words "I kept putting my hand under my jacket, on my stomach and all to keep the blood from dripping all over the place."Holden believes that he is going to catch pneumonia because his hair is wet and he is so cold he thinks he is going to die. "Boy I was still shivering like a bastard, and the back of my hair, even though I had my hunting hat on, was sort of full of hunks of ice." This shows just how much pain Holden was in. I think that he pictured himself catching pneumonia because he actually thought he was going to die and he was wondering what it would be like.
